Kristjan Randalu is one of the most sought-after pianists of his generation and is highly regarded across the world for his groundbreaking work in jazz and the more traditional genre of classical music – piano legend Herbie Hancock even describes him as a “stunning pianist”. Alongside his work on his own repertoire of contemporary jazz music and various collaborations with several generations of esteemed musicians, including his ECM label colleague Trygve Seim and saxophonist David Liebman, Kristjan Randalu presents his music on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. At the same time, he is acclaimed as a virtuoso interpreter of contemporary and classical music, performing with world-renowned ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and under conductors including Kristjan Järvi and Dennis Russell Davies.
