Composer • Manager and musical director of Arco Sinfónica • Producer
Born in the region of Swabia in 1971, Julia Diederich began her journey into music on the violin and piano at the age of five. After attending a music-focused high school with an emphasis on piano and visual arts, she completed a banking apprenticeship, followed by studies at the Latin Percussion School in Munich and the Pentaton Percussion School in Wuppertal, from which she graduated in 1994. From 1994–1995, she prepared at the Swiss Jazz School in Zurich for her World Music degree at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music. She completed her studies in 2000 at the International Music College Freiburg, specialising in Pedagogy in Instrumental Instruction, earning her diploma as a performing musician and state-certified instrumental teacher. Diederich is also a certified European event manager (IHK) and, following further training, has passed IHK exams in business IT and print media technology. In 2017, Diederich founded the 57-piece orchestra Arco Sinfónica, which ran under the name Latin-Jazz Sinfónica until 2025. It toured throughout Germany and played at the sold-out Wackerhalle for the 50th anniversary of the Burghausen Jazz Week. In 2022 and 2023, Diederich produced two studio productions with the orchestra: “Kaleidoskop” (still under Latin-Jazz Sinfónica) and “Movie Sinfónica” (Arco Sinfónica). Both productions received numerous rave reviews. “Kaleidoskop” will be released in 2027 as a remix album under the title “The Secret Story” and under Arco Sinfónica as Dolby Atmos.
