Uli Zimmer

Orchestra manager

Uli Zimmer (born 1966 in Osnabrück) is a classically trained violinist and has played in the orchestras of numerous musical productions in Hamburg, Berlin, and Stuttgart since 1991. He has also performed with classical orchestras and theaters, for example, in Flensburg, Oldenburg, and Heidelberg. For the past 20 years, he has worked freelance and is at home in a wide variety of musical genres: symphony concerts, opera, operetta, and musicals, as well as rock/pop productions in the studio and at live events. In addition to his musical work, he remains interested in the organizational aspects of concerts, shows, and events. From 2002 to 2004, he was the orchestra manager of the Stage Palladium Theater in Stuttgart. Since 2008, he has been responsible for stage management and travel arrangements for the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra, and since 2022, he has been responsible for organizing the orchestral musicians at Arco Sinfónica.

Uli Zimmer joined the GermanPops Orchestra in 2000 and, in addition to his work as a musician, took on the role of orchestra manager in 2007. In this capacity, he oversees the GPO’s studio productions as well as their live performances.
